Job Opportunity - GIS Coordinator in Warren County, IA

GIS Coordinator Warren County, Iowa Warren County, Iowa is seeking a GIS Coordinator to oversee the development, use, maintenance, and support of geospatial technologies throughout the County. This position is located within the Department of Information Technology. The successful applicant will coordinate all GIS functions and activities throughout the County, and represent the County at the regional and State level. Minimum job qualifications include general computer operating system knowledge, ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal contexts, ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate physical and human resources, and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues. The candidate must be proficient in the use of ESRI technologies and have a thorough understanding of GIS administration, system integration, database functionality and spatial data presentation. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or closely related field, a minimum of five (5) years experience in GIS / Information Technology implementation and administration, and three (3) years of Local Government experience.
